California- A deliciously refreshing Sauvignon Blanc offering bright citrus and tropical fruit, with a crisp, juicy finish. Perfect as an aperfitif or paired with grilled fish or pasta.

Dark horse is a go to brand for me, they’re affordable and every variety I have tried has been good. Now keep in mind they’re not your high end wine, but for the price it’s a steal! I love a good Sauvignon blanc and I will grab this on most occasions compared to other brands of Im not in the mood to explore or gamble on the taste.

LOVE Dark Horse wine. It always tastes great and for a great price. Highly recommend trying a variety of their grapes, red or white. You can buy at any store, and choose from their many red and white wines. My second favorite is the All Red Blend.

Wine Folly : On the general Sauvignon Blanc section the main flavors listed are goose berry, honeydew, grapefruit, white peach, and passion fruit. Originally when tasting the wine it tasted more like a riesling, sort of apple-limey. After looking at the wine folly section I can actually pick out grapefruit as one of the major flavors. Though I haven't had passion fruit I feel like this is what it would taste like. I also get some white peach, but its a very acidic white peach. The highest "taste profile" is the acidity, which is up all the way. When I first tried it I was taken aback by the acidity actually. After a few more sips I began to like it.

Personal Review: I really like this wine! It's very crisp on the nose. Extremely refreshing. I get a lot of green apple notes, not much else. Perhaps a bit of lime? On the first sip I was caught off guard by the acidity and bitterness. The taste in the mouth is very pleasant, it honestly just tastes like apple at first, but after reading the Wine Folly I get a lot of passion fruit. Drinking this wine was a roller coaster, it's really great in the mouth but is kinda rough when you swallow. The bitterness over takes all the other flavors too much.

  Wine and Cheese Tasting The cheese The Boys and the Cheese Ste. Chateau Michelle Rose 2020 - 100% Syrah This wine is very light in aroma, it smells very floral, like a garden. The color is nearly clear, looking at it from the side it almost looks completely clear. Looking at it from the top you can see the pink hue more. This wine is very simple in taste. I'm primarily getting fruity notes, specifically a lot of strawberry. There is sort of a generic sweet berry taste. We paired this wine with a Havarti cheese. In my opinion, this cheese didn't pair very well with this wine for a few reasons. The Havarti really brought out the bitterness of the wine I feel like, which was surprising considering the Havarti is a pretty weak cheese (not much flavor).  I don't recall the first time I tried wine, but there is certainly one first instance of trying wine that stands out to me. I must've been 10 or 12 at the time, and had been at home for days due to being sick. At one point I was laying on my couch, super dehydrated and thirsty as I had tonsilitis really badly and it prevented me from opening my mouth. There was a glass of water sitting next to me, and in my dehydrated pursuit of any liquid I grabbed it and took a massive gulp. Much to my dismay this wasn't actually water, but my mothers glass of white wine. I still remember the burning sensation and how badly it scorched my already sore throat.
